The Little Park that could! Kentucky Kingdom is both a wonderful story about perseverance and a great example of how to grow a local amusement park within the competitive landscape of established regional theme parks. In six short seasons, Kentucky Kingdom went from "the former bankrupt kiddie park" to the fastest growing theme park and water park in North America.

Six Flags America
In the early 2000's there was a major shake-up in the regional theme park industry when a small upstart named Premier Parks seemingly overnight rose to national stature by purchasing independently owned theme parks, as well as the entire Six Flags Theme Park chain from Time Warner. Six Flags America, or Adventure World as it was then known, was one of those parks.
